Spring is a time of renewal. A time of personal growth and self-reflection. Which is why we couldn’t think of a better time to bring back the Nobody’s Perfect workshop series!
When new mothers first come to us, they often feel scared and alone. And a lot of that fear comes from the thought of raising their children on their own. In our experience, abusers will often control all aspects of their partners lives – including how children are raised.
“Coming from an abusive relationship, our clients have often been told that they’re not a good parent.” – says Paula Del Cid, our Residential Co-Supervisor.
The Nobody’s Perfect program empowers women to feel confident in their ability to raise their children as they see fit.
“The title alone helps women to realize that nobody is perfect.” – says Del Cid. “This program reassures them that there is no such thing as a perfect parent. There will be mistakes along the way – we are only human! This is their chance to learn how to raise their baby in a happy and healthy way.”
Nobody’s Perfect is designed for mothers with children ages 0-5. It provides education and support to women who are trying to navigate the complexities of being a single parent. The workshop covers new topics every week, including behavior, bodies, mind, and more. Click here to learn more about the workshop series and how it’s empowering mothers at Interval House.
