FRPO Putts for Interval House

Golf course

As we’ve mentioned before, summer is often a time when we’re in greatest need at Interval House. With more families seeking a safe haven, and the children out of school, it’s often one of our busiest times when we’re most desperately in need of support.

That’s what makes it so special that every summer, Interval House receives the generous support of the Federation of Rental-Housing Providers of Ontario (FRPO) Golf Classic. Each year, the proceeds from this event are donated to our shelter to support women and kids healing from abuse.

The 2015 FRPO Golf Classic was held on July 27th at the Rattlesnake Point Golf Club in Milton and was a big success. Over 200 managers and executives from the residential real estate industry were there to raise money to support women and kids in need. Between the 18-hole course, hole-in-one competition, raffle and silent auction, it was a full day of fun in support of a great cause.

This year, the event raised over $69,000! The proceeds will go a long way towards providing the shelter, counselling, and specialized programming that women and kids at Interval House need to rebuild their lives, free of violence.

FRPO has long been a supporter of Interval House, and we’re incredibly grateful for their ongoing generosity and friendship. This year was the 9th annual tournament FRPO has organized for our shelter, and they continue to support us through the Her Home Housing Project, helping to find affordable and safe housing of woman survivors of violence.

A big thank you also goes out to the donors to the tournament’s silent auction, whose in-kind contributions helped to make the event the success it was.
