Food for Thought with GE Capital

Food nourishes the body, mind and soul. At Interval House, we know that sharing a meal also means sharing stories and laughter.

Our families look forward to eating together. That’s why when our friends at GE Capital come to volunteer we know we’re in for a treat.

On March 6th, Elsbeth, Dhilal, and Miles from GE Capital rolled up their sleeves and showed off their culinary creativity. And WOW, the food was a hit! Interval House residents, BESS and resettlement clients enjoyed a huge meal of chicken cacciatore right down to the last forkful. The pots were scraped clean as many residents couldn’t resist second helpings of the delicious meal.

In addition to preparing the meal, the three enthusiastic volunteers served the meal, chatted with the residents, and cleaned up afterwards. It was, by all accounts, a truly special and memorable evening.
GE Capital continues to support Interval House, with their next culinary team scheduled to come in on March 20th. We can’t wait to have you back!
