In 2009 - 2010, Interval House sheltered for 89 women and children.
About three-quarters of the women we helped were under the age of 40, and 22% came to the shelter with physical injuries.
An astonishing 29% had partners who threatened to kill them.
72% of the children staying at Interval House were under the age of 6. Almost 14% of the children experienced first-hand abuse by their mothers' partners and a third witnessed their mom being abused.
On average, Interval House receives over 885 calls from other women and ex-residents seeking additional crisis counselling and/or referrals.
53 women graduated from the Building Economic Self-Sufficiency (BESS) Program and 66% of Job Development clients found meaningful employment.
