Interval House is Canada’s first shelter for abused women and children. We have always had a pioneering spirit – and over the years that has evolved into an equally innovative approach to how we help women leave violence behind forever. Our approach is holistic: we don’t just heal wounds behind locked doors, we nurture families from crisis intervention to re-integration into the workforce and the community with highly specialized programs providing emotional support, practical help and life skills.

You’ll walk through our home using this vibrant illustration of Interval House as a guide – and it’s a very special depiction of our home. That’s because it shows you what will happen inside Interval House when we renovate this spring. Our renovation will create enhanced space for women and children on their journey to freedom – it’s a very exciting time for Interval House!
