School's Out For Summer!!

It’s traumatic whenever a woman must leave home and flee with her children to safety. Many women wait anxiously until her children have finished their year of school before making an escape.

Thanks to your donations, the women and children who arrive at Interval House this summer will have a comfortable bed, nutritious meals, essential personal care items and safe play spaces while they recover and consider next steps.

It's About Vine!

Tre Amici Event 2011

Thanks to everyone who came to the second “It’s About Vine” gala fundraiser hosted by Tre Amici Imports on May 17th, 2011. An evening of passion and excitement, the event featured 25 wine makers and distillers who shared over 150 of their finest wine and spirits. Guests came out to enjoy the wine, taste the fabulous food, and bid on silent auction prizes – all in support of Interval House!

Leave a Legacy

A charitable bequest is a gift designated in your Will that becomes available to Interval House after your death. A charitable bequest allows you to make a substantial impact to the future work of Interval House, without diminishing your assets today.

Celebrating BESS Graduates!

On Monday, June 6th we hosted our first annual BESS Graduation ceremony to celebrate 20 amazing, inspiring graduates! Our valedictorian, Beyhan, encouraged graduates to sail with the wind and reach new heights! We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

And we recognized the special achievements of 3 remarkable women.

Farewell, Ann Southam

Ann Southam

Interval House lost a dear member of our family this past fall, the much-celebrated Ann Southam. Ann was a renowned composer, member of the Order of Canada and dedicated Interval House supporter.

In honour of Ann and her generosity, Interval House will name one of the B.E.S.S. graduation awards after her. At its inaugural presentation, Ann’s brother Kip Southam presented the Ann Southam Leadership Award.

Beyhan's Story

Lesley and Beyhan at Grad

“Why would you settle for a job like that with all your education and experience?”

At first, Beyhan didn’t know how to answer her son. Yes, she had experience in business management and bookkeeping, and had graduated with an honours certificate as an accounting clerk.

But she also had endured so many years of abuse that her self-worth was shredded.
